On 10 June 2021, representatives of IGBK and ITI participated in the digital annual General Assembly of Culture Action Europe (CAE). CAE’s members adopted the strategy paper for the years 2022-2024, which was already prepared at the Members Forum in April 2021.
CAE will focus its advocacy and networking, knowledge sharing and aggregation work in the coming years on the following issues:
- culture, environment and sustainability,
- well-being with a specific focus on access to and participation in culture and cultural rights,
- welfare and living conditions in the cultural ecosystem,
- as well as continuing to lobby on European policies, budgets and programs in the cultural sector.
Elections of the board took place at the assembly. Newly elected to the board for a period of three years were: Paul Dujardin (European Festivals Association), Celia Grau (Opera Europa), Niels Righolt (CKI – Center for Kunst og Interkultur), Katharina Weinert (European Music Council) and Julie Ward from UK representing the individual members of Culture Action Europe.
Retiring from the board were (i.e. not standing for election again): Cristina Da Milano, Antonio Gucciardo, Elena Polivtseva and Robert Manchin. The members thanked them warmly for their very good work in recent years and congratulated the new board members on their election.
