{"id":24,"date":"2018-03-08T16:49:55","date_gmt":"2018-03-08T15:49:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eusec-culture-ngos.iti-germany.de\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2018-03-08T16:50:00","modified_gmt":"2018-03-08T15:50:00","slug":"the-european-secretariat-of-german-culture-ngos","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/eusec-culture-ngos.iti-germany.de\/de\/the-european-secretariat-of-german-culture-ngos\/","title":{"rendered":"The European Secretariat of German Culture NGOs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>\u2026is a permanent intersectional co-operation project of presently two German culture NGOs.<\/p>\n<p>The partners from performing arts and fine arts,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iti-germany.de\/index.php?id=home&amp;L=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ITI Germany<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/igbk.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IGBK<\/a>, are both non-profit culture NGOs in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>ITI Germany has 170 personal members and 30 corporate members. As part of the worldwide International Theatre Institute the German centre offers a comprehensive service to the country\u2019s theatre people in making international contacts and in preparing and organising artistic encounters in Germany and guest performances abroad and festivals in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>IGBK (Internationale Gesellschaft der Bildenden K\u00fcnste) represents the German National Committee of the International Association of Art (IAA) and unites with Germany\u2019s three most important supra-regional artist associations more than 14,000 visual artists in Germany. IGBK provides information for international exchange programmes and organises symposia and workshops on topics of relevance to artists.<\/p>\n<p>Since more than 20 years both NGOs are cooperating in terms of European culture policy with a joint membership in <a href=\"http:\/\/cultureactioneurope.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Culture Action Europe<\/a> (former European Forum for the Arts and Heritage). The Secretariat organized two EFAH general assemblies in Germany (Bonn and Berlin). On the national level, joint meetings with artists and politicians on questions of EU culture policy and on culture funding programmes are a part of the regular work.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2011, the Secretariat developed an online information platform for touring artists in and to Germany. \u00ab <a href=\"http:\/\/www.touring-artists.info\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Touring-artists.info<\/a>\u00bb went online 2013 and is connected with a free consultancy for artists and groups provided by SmartDe.
